Sustaining Senator Bible Studies in the Nebraska Capitol
We are so very grateful to Nebraska Senators John Arch and Robert Clements for leading the “Seven Deadly Sins and Civil Servants,” Senator Bible Studies during the 107th Legislature, First Session.
Senator Clements’ testimony:
I have attended Perry and Faith Gauthier’s Nebraska Senator Bible study for four years.
These Capitol Studies help Legislators apply Godly principles to state policy decisions. We also review the Biblical values our founders put into the U.S. Constitution. The Bible study helps Senators unite and share their beliefs and opinions on current issues.
Senator Arch and I consider it a blessing and honor to lead the Senator Bible studies, pending Capitol Studies identifying a new Ministry Leader. It is so vital that we sustain the efforts of our dearest departed friend and Biblical mentor, Rev. Perry Gauthier.
Nebraska Senator Robert Clements,
Legislative District 2

Naming a New Ministry Leader
We are blessed to have a number of persons expressing interest in assuming the role of Ministry Leader of Capitol Studies. In order to maintain continuity with Perry’s vision, professional leadership, and theological skills, Dr. Phillip Kayser and Jason Kirsch have collaborated with other ministry experts on screening candidates. They hope to interview all candidates carefully and not rush this process. We have two ministry trainers who are willing to travel to Nebraska to bring our new Ministry Leader up to speed through ongoing training.
Please be in prayer that the Lord would open doors that no man could close and close doors that no man can open (Rev. 3:7). The ministry implications in Nebraska’s capitol are too important for us to rush this process. However, we are hopeful that we can name a new Capitol Studies Ministry Leader who will be acceptable to the Senators within the next few months.
On behalf of the Capitol Studies Transition Team,
Phillip Kayser,
Transition Team Facilitator
