Dear <<First Name>>:

Capitol Studies Update
November, 2021

501(c)(3) Status

We are pleased to announce that the IRS has reinstated Capitol Studies’ 501(c)(3) status. I am especially grateful to Joel Mohrmann,Todd Watson and Greg Thomsen for their tireless efforts and faithfulness in championing this achievement.

Bible Studies

With the Unicameral out of session until January 2022, we have suspended the “Nehemiah, The Civil Servant from Susa” Senator studies. However, we have started a study of 1 John, “Assurance of Fellowship” with the Senatorial staff.
We are very excited by the staff’s participation and enthusiasm!

Giving Tuesday is November 30, 2021.  There are several areas you can materially assist Capitol Studies in its mission of “Serving Civil Servants with Scripture:”

  1. Volunteer your time and talents- We need skills involving research, writing (with strong Microsoft Word skills), and proofing, arts and graphics, fundraising, photography and video, and providing food and refreshments for Senators and staff during Bible studies. Please consider volunteering at: https://capitolstudies.org/volunteer/.
  2. Giving– Please consider one-time or recurring monetary gifts to the ministry at: https://capitolstudies.org/donate/.
  3. Offer words of encouragement, prayers, and concerns to your Nebraska State Senator.  A list of Senators, by name or district can be found at: https://nebraskalegislature.gov/senators/senator_list.php.

Giving Thanks
As we celebrate Thanksgiving at Capitol Studies, we are especially thankful for our staff and volunteers and all of our financial supporters and prayer partners. We are thankful for our Nebraska Senators and their staff and the enthusiasm they have shown as we present God’s truth in our Senators and Staff Bible Studies. Most of all, we are grateful for a bountiful, loving God who hears our prayers, who blesses us in countless ways and who freely gave His Son as sacrifice that we might all be saved by His grace through faith. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
