In these contentious cultural and political times, it can be challenging being a Senator in the Nebraska Legislature. One Senator confided, “Sometimes people ask me if I enjoy being a Senator. Honestly, much of the time, I do not enjoy it, but the Holy Spirit has reminded me that this is where God has placed me, so I say, ‘I am glad to be where God wants me to be.’”
Our statehouse studies endeavor to build and bolster an unapologetically Christian worldview in the hearts of those whom God has ordained to office, for there is no governing authority except as has been ordained by God (Romans 13:1). Over the past two years, we’ve led studies of the lives of Nehemiah and Joseph. This coming year, Lord willing, we are planning and preparing to study the life of Daniel, a godly civil servant from Babylon.
This week is what has come to be known as “Giving Tuesday.” Would you consider giving to support this essential mission to our state capitol as we approach the end of the year?
