It’s almost hard to believe, but Thanksgiving is now behind us. We hope that you all had refreshing moments spent with family and friends enjoying good food and reflecting on the ways in which God has so richly blessed each one of us. We truly are thanking God for all he has blessed us with during this past year! First and foremost, we are very grateful for a God “who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all” (Rom. 8:32). Capitol Studies is also very grateful for those who have prayed for us, supported this ministry, and volunteered their time to see God’s word taken to the halls of the Capitol. We are truly blessed to be able to serve in this capacity.
Giving Tuesday
Tomorrow is “Giving Tuesday,” a day which has been established to help support many nonprofit organizations who are striving to have a positive impact in their communities. As we say at Capitol Studies, we exist to “Serve Civil Servants with Scripture,” and as the year is drawing to a close, we are making preparations to hit the ground running when Nebraska’s legislative session begins on January 4. If you choose to take part in Giving Tuesday, would you prayerfully consider supporting the ministry of Capitol Studies? Without the support of our generous donors, none of this would be possible.
Earlier this month, Stu Kerns, host of the “Friendly Fire” radio program on KLIN, interviewed Arin about the ministry of Capitol Studies and its vital role serving the senators of our state and their staff members. We’re appreciative of Stu Kerns for inviting Arin on to be able to discuss these topics. If you weren’t able to catch the interview when it aired, you can find it on the KLIN website by clicking below:
All who live in our world, you, me, your neighbor, and, yes, our political leaders, need God and His Word as our refuge and our guide. Thank you for your support of Capitol Studies both prayerfully and financially so that we can bring His good news to this little corner of our world. It is making an eternal difference!
Striving together for Him,
Arin Hess, Chaplain and President
